Education: BS in Agricultural Economics (Natural resources and Environment) ; Currently completing my MS degree in agricultural economics at the University of Ouagadougou.
Goal: Taking full advantage of the masters program in Political Economy and Applied Statistics to become a seasoned professional in sustainable development and policy making in the area of development.

ZOUNMENOU Kpedekpo

Country: Benin
Education: BS Mathematics (with highest distinction), 2005, University of Abomey Calavi. Coursework in Topology, Differential Calculus; Measure and Integration; and Probabilities. Currently teaching in High School while completing my MS in Mathematics.
Areas of Interest: Applications of Mathematics in Social Sciences (economics) ; applied Statistics.
Goal: Gaining an advanced understanding of both theoretical and practical foundations of economics and applied statistics to elaborate and analyze policy making and economic development projects.

Odette TOTIN

Country: Benin
Education: Diploma in Planning (DTS). Currently working at the Ministry for Planning and development (Benin) and is a civil servant where she serves as a Planning Economist. In that capacity I have been involved in several projects and gained valuable experience in development programs design and evaluation.
Areas of Interest: Program Evaluation; public policy; development
Goals: Work for international organizations, and public and private administrations in Benin to gain valuable experience in sustainable development. The Masters program will help sharpen and deepen my skills in the analysis of the theoretical foundations of economic policy making in the broader context of globalization.

I have been working since 2004 on several projects, including the National Program for the Millennium Challenge Account funded by the USA and the report on public investment for the years 2003 and 2004 in Benin

Education: BS in macroeconomics development management; currently completing my Masters in economics at the University of Ouagadougou; former intern at the West African central bank.
Areas of Interest: Politics of development.
Goal: Specializing in Health economics (the masters program will be helpful in achieving my long term goal of completing a doctoral program).

Bako Dramane

Education: BS in mathematics, University of Ouagadougou. 2003 medal winner at the Panafrican mathematics Olympiad.
Area of Interest: Public Policy; development.
Goal: career in applied mathematics in economics and completion of a PhD; will use the masters program to gain expertise in economics and applications of mathematics to social sciences.

Damase Eric SOSSOU

Country: Benin
Education: Diploma in Statistical Engineering, National School of Applied Economics and Management; currently an intern at the National Institute for Statistics and Economic Analysis.
Areas of Interest: I have an expertise and research experience on the investment code in Benin. Also wrote a thesis on the determinants of the realization of industrial projects in the investment code of Benin.
Goals: Becoming a seasoned researcher in social sciences. Attending the masters program is an important step towards meeting my goals
